2022 Pinot Noir Tondré Grapefield Santa Lucia Highlands
Joe Alarid’s Tondré Grapefield is in the center of the Santa Lucia Highlands and has earned a reputation as one of the top vineyards in the region. Here the fog and breezes provide ideal conditions for growing cool climate varieties like Pinot Noir. This wine was fermented in 1.5 ton lots and with daily punch-downs by hand, then aged in French oak barrels and bottled without fining or filtration. It is a Pinot Noir that is generous with fruit and flavors of cherries and strawberries. The wine finishes with a hint of oak and will pair well with grilled pork or filet mignon.
