Double Gold Medal winner at the 2026 SF Chronicle Wine Competition!

Planted in 2008, Escolle is located in the Northern part of the AVA on a hillside overlooking the Salinas Valley. The vineyard features a cool climate due to the breeze and fog from nearby Monterey Bay that make it an excellent place to grow Chardonnay. This wine was fermented and aged in French oak barrels then bottled without fining or filtration. It is a rich, full-bodied Chardonnay with an excellent balance of fruit and acidity. In the aroma are hints of oak and tropical fruits and in the taste flavors of citrus and melon. Serve lightly chilled and enjoy it over the next several years.

Joe Alarid’s Tondré Grapefield is in the center of the Santa Lucia Highlands and has earned a reputation as one of the top vineyards in the region. Here the fog and breezes provide ideal conditions for growing cool climate varieties like Riesling. We fermented the wine until completely dry in neutral French oak barrels. This a full bodied wine with flavors of apricot and aromas of honey. The abundant fruit is balanced by excellent acidity. Serve lightly chilled with your favorite spicy dishes or fresh seafood.

It is a Pinot Noir that is generous with fruit and flavors of strawberries. The wine finishes with a hint of oak and will pair well with grilled pork or filet mignon.

Located in Corralitos, Lester is an excellent place to grow Pinot Noir. Here, under the care of Prudy Foxx this delicate grape slowly ripens and produces wines with a remarkable balance of fruit and acidity. Ours was fermented in small lots and punched down by hand daily. The wine was aged in high quality French oak barrels (20% new) and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Pair with duck, grilled salmon or filet mignon.

Our first Cabernet Sauvignon since the 2017 vintage comes from the same site in the mountains near Lexington Reservoir. The vineyard sees the influence of cooling ocean air that is so important to the growing of high quality Cabernet Sauvignon. This was aged in the very best 100% new French oak barrels and bottled without fining or filtration. The wine features aromas of graphite with flavors of black currant and abundant oak with a dry finish. Serve with steak, braised short ribs, or grilled portabellas.

Our first Merlot in five years comes from a site in the mountains near Lexington Reservoir. The vineyard sees the influence of cooling ocean air that is so important in achieving our style of Merlot. The wine was aged in 50% new French oak barrels and the new was selected from a cooper in Bordeaux that produces barrels specifically crafted for enhancing varietal Merlot. As usual, we bottled without fining or filtration. The wine features aromas of cedar with flavors of black cherry, plum and licorice. Serve with grilled lamb or baked pasta dishes. Only 48 cases produced.
